6th impression. ~ Cloth, dj, VG/G. 207pp, b/w frontis, 8pp b/w plates, endpaper maps, dustjacket chippe with some loss, especially along the top edge & rear panel, a good copy. ~ War time exploits of a U-Boat captian, who , at the end of World War II sailed underwater for 66 days & surfaced in Argentina. This action w as to spark rumours that Hitler had been taken there aboard the ship. The voyage was made blind as the periscope was not working correctly & was made as the crew were unsure what would happen after the German surrender.
