Very Good 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall Booklet First Edition Souvenir programme of the world première of the Sam Spiegel-David Lean film of Lawrence of Arabia at the Odeon Theatre, Leicester Square, on Monday 10 December 1962, in the presence of Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh, to aid SSAFA (Soldiers', Sailors' and Airmen's Families Association) and The Save the Children Fund. Contained in the centre of the programme is the 36pp Columbia Pictures booklet with extensive background information, colour pull-outs and many black and white and colour photographs of the cast, including Peter O'Toole, Omar Sharif, Alec Guinness, Anthony Quinn, Jose Ferrer, Claude Rains and Jack Hawkins. The original gold, tasselled cord is still present. This is the world première programme, the UK screening preceded the US one by six days and is therefore very scarce indeed.
