Very-good copy of this 1927 ex-libris book. Usual library markings - Pictorial front board (ship at sea) - 3 pages in book front have small, closed tears. Tight spine - 634 pages. Nicely illustrated with color artwork.

190 x 125 mm Antal sidor: 155. Illustrationer. Tom, den lille sotarpojken som för en tid förvandlas till ett havsbarn, är en klassisk figur i den engelska barnlitteraturen. Vad han upplever bland trollsländor och gäddor, humrar och uttrar på flodbotten och i havets djup är berättat med en fantasi som glittrar som vågblänk över sidorna. Man kan dra trettiosju eller trettionio viktiga lärdomar av den här boken, jag minns inte riktigt vilket, säger författaren själv i slutkapitlet. Att berättelse om Tom och havsbarnen bakom den lekfulla tonen och de spännande händelserna också rymmer en god portion allvar kan i varje fall inte bestridas.
