The Invasion was intended to limit British access to the Eastern Trade & India. The Invasion is well known due to the initial success of the French Army and for the large number of Scientists & archaeologists who went along with the French Forces. Napoleon's men however were ravaged by disease & found supply lines hard to keep open - Napoleon returned to France before completing his Invasion.
