How do I change my default shipping cost, accepted payment methods, terms & conditions and seller name?
- Login to "Your account" and click "Your Seller Data"
- Change information regarding default shipping cost, accepted payment methods, terms & conditions, seller name or homepage.
How do I set my domestic and international shipping costs?
Domestic shipping
You can set a default shipping cost for all your books in "Your Seller data" or simply specify your shipping policy in your Terms and Conditions.
You can also provide a different shipping cost for selected books:
- By adding the shipping information on the book's details in your "Book Manager";
- By specifying the shipping cost in your book inventory and uploading it in our database.
International shipping
Book buyers from all over the world are searching for books on Gojaba.com.
Adding information about your international shipping costs in your Terms and Conditions will help you sell more books.
How do I link to my homepage from Gojaba.com?
- Login to "Your Account" and click "Your Seller Data"
- Add your URL of your homepage in "Your Homepage" and click save
How do I link to my books on Gojaba.com?
- Login to "Your Account" and click "Your Personal Links to Gojaba.com"
- Choose the text link or the image that fits your site best. Then simply copy and paste the code into your web page. The link will take visitors directly to your books on Gojaba.com
I am currently not able to process my orders - I need to set my account to vacation status - How do I do that?
- Login to "Your account" and click "Your vacation settings"
- Check the box "I am on vacation" and click save
You will not receive any orders and buyer inquiries as long as the box remains checked. However, buyers can still find your books during that period and buy them as soon as you uncheck the box.
Upload and manage your inventory
How do I save my booklist so it can be uploaded to Gojaba.com?
Gojaba.com can currently process all delimiter separated text files. To save your file for Gojaba.com first choose "Save as" in your inventory software program. In the "Save type as" menu you should save your file as a delimiter separated file type. You are free to save your file with any delimiter that your book inventory software offers. However, the most common delimiter separated file types are "tab delimited (.txt)" or "comma delimited (.csv)"
I don't have a booklist, how do I create one?
A book list for Gojaba.com can be created with:
- spreadsheet programs like Microsoft Excel (save as tab delimited file .txt or comma delimited file .csv)
- database programs like Microsoft Access (export to delimited text file function)
- inventory management softwares (export to delimited text file function)

Important: If you decide to use the template to catalogue your books, please save the file as "Text (Tab delimited)(*.txt)":
- Open Excel sheet
- Select [File]
- Select [Save as]
- From the [Save as type] menu select "Text (Tab delimited)(*.txt)"
How can I upload a booklist?
Gojaba.com allows you to upload thousands of books in a single file. To upload a booklist, please
go to your Gojaba.com account and click "Upload Book File".
Before you start uploading your booklist make sure:
- the data is saved as a text file (.txt, .csv, etc.)
- the data columns are separated with a delimiter
- Select the delimiter that separates the columns of your book file
- Select the meaning of each column in your book file
- Preview the way your books are displayed and finish the upload wizard
Please note! Uploading a new booklist will remove all previously uploaded data

Can I upload books one by one? How do I use the Book Manager
In the Book Manager you can add books one by one, search your inventory and delete books. If you don't have a large number of books, adding them one by one in the Book Manager is a good alternative. Click "Add new book" in the Book Manager and provide the required information about your books, and then click save. You can also add single books in the Book Manager to an already uploaded booklist.
How can I remove books from my inventory?
Removing books can be done in 2 ways:
- Upload an update booklist to remove your previously uploaded data.
- Delete a title in the --Book Manager-- by checking the box next to "quantity" and click delete.
If you want to change the available quantity of a title, you can upload an updated booklist or use the Book Manager:
- Choose the title you want to edit from the "Book Manager" in Your Account
- Change the number of books in the field "Quantity" and click "Save"
I have uploaded my file but the characters are not displayed in the right way. What should I do?
Check the "Select again the character encoding (if characters are not displayed correctly)" box in "Upload book file" and upload your file again.
Choose the alternative that shows your inventory in the correct way.
What does delimiter mean?
A delimiter separates the book record's fields (title, author, price etc.) from each other. A delimiter could for example be a "Tab", "comma" or "semicolon". At Gojaba.com we recommend that you use "Tab" or semicolon ";".
I can not complete the upload process, what should I do?
In order to convert your book file and finish the upload process it is important that
the file is saved as a delimiter separated text file.

Can I export my inventory from Gojaba.com?
Yes! In your seller account you can export your inventory from Gojaba.com at anytime.
How can I process my orders?
How does the sales process work?
As Gojaba.com doesn't take part in the money transaction or shipping procedure, we recommend that you process your orders
in the following way:
- When your book is ordered, you and the buyer will be automatically notified by email. You will find the order information in your account.
- Please contact the buyer to specify shipping and payment details.
- When you ship the book, please update the status of the order to "Sent". The buyer will receive a notification email.
When and why should I change the status of an order?
Changing the status of a sale will help you keep track of your orders and inform
the customer about its status. As soon as the order status is
updated, the customer will be notified automatically by email.
If you don't change the status of the order the buyer will still be able to cancel the order.
To change the status of a sale in your account:
- Click "Your Sales"
- In the "Status" dropdown menu change to the preferred status and click "Update".
Processing returns, refunds and cancellations
How do I process returns, refunds and cancellations?
When you sign up as a seller it is compulsory to specify your seller information
in "Terms & Conditions".
In general, your returns and refunds policy should reflect the principle that you are responsible
for the book until the buyer receives it. You must include the returns and refunds policy
in the Terms & Conditions you display to the Customer. In your returns and refunds policy you must
guarantee a complete reimbursement at least in the following cases: item did not
arrive, item was damaged, item not as described, and buyer cancelled before shipping.
Upon accepting a return, you must update the status of the item to "Returned".
Gojaba.com functions only as a market place and does not take part in the sales process between buyer
and seller. Gojaba.com is not liable in the transaction process between buyer and seller.
