First Edition 32pp. with pictorial endpapers. The text of the speech Karen Blixen gave to the American Academy of Arts and Letters in 1959 after she had been elected Honorary Member under the name of Isak Dinesen of the AAAL ad the National Institute of Arts and Letters in 1957. Contains a couple of her drawings and some photographs of her in Africa on her ranch and welcoming Mr and Mrs Aldous Huxley and a picture of her with Marilyn Monroe and Carson McCullers in New York. Green card, with gilt title on spine.

Customers are welcome to come to and view books at either of the shops - 95% are held in Bell Street, but a few are in the Chiswick shop and at Biblion off Bond Street, so it's worth contacting us in advance just to make certain that it is there when you arrive. We can also bring books to the shop in Chiwick it that is more convenient - this bow windowed 18th shop is only opened Tuesday to Saturday, but most of the stock is un-catalogued.
