Hard cover dust wrapper, 384pp, b&w plates. Small tear on bottom dw, now protected, else very good. The Vietnam War officially ended when the last U.S. personnel departed the U.S. Embassy in Saigon, 30 April 1975. Less than two weeks later, the cargo vessel Mayaguez was seized and boarded by Khmer Rouge combatants, Monday, May 12, 1975. The bodies of the U.S. Marines who fought and died in the last battle of America's involvement in Southeast Asia were left behind on Koh Tang, and the Joint Task Force for Full Accounting (JTF-FA) was still trying to identify the remains in 1995 and later. This tells of that incident.
