Early edition. Original green cloth with gilt titles to the spine and upper board and a gilt illustration to the upper board, in dustwrapper. Illustrated throughout with colour plates and black and white drawings. A very good copy, the binding square and firm, the edges a little rubbed, the spine tips a touch faded. The contents are bright and complete with a previous owner's bookplate to the front free endpaper, name to the pastedown, spotting to the text block edges, faint foxing throughout, and three of the drawings having been subtly hand coloured with watercolour. Complete with the price-clipped dustwrapper, lightly rubbed at the extremities, toned to the spine and flap folds and with a couple of tiny short closed tears to the head of the spine. A beautifully illustrated edition of Stevenson's collection of poetry for children. Further details and images for any of the items listed are available on request. Lucius Books welcomes direct contact with our customers.
